I build and operate real-world systems.
Hi, I'm João Gustavo Camilo Júnior. I spend my days at the intersection of product engineering, backend architecture, and production reliability.
About Me
I started my journey with a simple realization: code that looks perfect on a local environment rarely behaves that way when it meets the first 1,000 real users. Over the years, I`ve dedicated myself to understanding the complexities of building systems that aren`t just functional, but resilient.
As an engineering founder, I`ve built everything from high-density multi-tenant SaaS platforms to complex ERP systems and real-time integration layers. I am a firm believer in pragmatic engineering—choosing the right tool for the job while maintaining a deep respect for the fundamentals of distributed systems.
Why João Camilo's Blog?
Most technical content focuses on the "Happy Path"—the tutorial version where nothing breaks and latency doesn`t exist. But in the real world, production is where software truly lives.
This blog exists to bridge the gap between architectural theory and operational reality. It is a place for field reports, architectural notes, and hard-earned lessons on how to build software that survives the collision with reality.
